Residential Services

From trauma to triumph, together we are Building Brighter Futures for children and families.

Quest & Vision

  • Quest and Vision programs serve moderate acuity youth, both males and females ages 10-17. Licensed for 41 beds, serving approximately 20 youth at a time, divided into groups of 8-10 youth in order to better meet therapeutic needs.

  • This is a lower stimulation area that provides ability to separate higher acuity youth that need extra attention and relationship support. This allows therapists to observe and better assess the youth in a short-term period.

  • Therapists use a variety of assessments and resources to help better target the unique treatment of our youth. NCH uses therapeutic groups, individual, & family therapy.

  • Our staff are trained in Trauma Informed Care (TIC) and use Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)® skills and techniques. Staff utilize these methods to support youth each and everyday.

  • The QRTP’s are primarily funded through contracts with Idaho Child Welfare. These programs are also capable of serving youth from other states such as Washington.

Canyon View Center

  • Canyon View Center (CVC) serves both males and females ages 7-14 with mental health disorders, trauma histories, or behavioral issues. These youth require more intensive treatment than outpatient services can provide.

  • Licensed for 8 beds, serving approximately 5-6 youth at a time.

    CVC services include:

    • Individual, Group, and Family Therapy

    • Education

    • Medication Management

    • Trust-Based Relational Intervention®: for all caregivers and staff

    • Brief Strategic Family Therapy

    • Psychological Assessments

    • Recreation

  • The PRTF opened October 2024 after a complete remodel of the 11,000 square foot building previously known as the Hopper House.

  • NCH received a $5 million grant from the State of Idaho as well as support from various donors to complete the full remodel.

Funding will primarily come from insurances, including but not limited to: Magellan Health Care (Medicaid), Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Tri-Care, etc.
