Northwest Children’s Home is grateful for the support from our grantor, Avista Foundation.

Avista Foundation’s Grants

  • Through Avista Foundation’s Connecting Kids to Care initiative, we received funding to install six new telehealth stations on our campus. These stations help ensure our youth can receive consistent care through therapy, medical providers, and immediate emergency services when needed.

    Received March 22, 2021

  • The Building Trust to Heal Trauma community grant supported bringing Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) training to our community. TBRI® is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. It uses Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connection Principles for attachment needs, and Correction Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors. While grounded in years of attachment, sensory processing, and neuroscience research, the heartbeat of TBRI® is connection.

    Received March 22, 2022

  • The Hope and Healing for Children with Trauma grant supported furnishing the new Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF), helping create a safe and welcoming environment for children in care.

    Received March 27, 2024
